Dr. Torres is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) who works with older children, teens, and adults. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Seattle and completed her doctoral internship at Telecare Recovery Evaluation & Treatment, an inpatient psychiatric facility for patients experiencing acute psychosis. She has experience working in private practice, community mental health, domestic violence, court ordered evaluations, in-patient psychiatric treatment, and expert witness testimony. This unique experience has offered her the ability to work with clients at their most challenging times of crisis and hospitalization, as well as clients who have committed to ongoing therapy to maintain and/or reach their desired goals.
Dr. Torres works in an integrative approach, drawing upon relational theory and client centered therapy as a base foundation for her work with clients. She views the therapeutic relationship as a key factor in working with clients, and consciously works to provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment in which the client feels heard, understood, and empowered to begin working through their concerns and identify their desired outcomes.
Dr. Torres does not bill insurance. Payment is due at the time of service, billed to the credit card on file. Superbills are provided upon request.
